Hey friend!
Your mini session is coming up soon and I hope you’re as stoked as I am! Before I see you guys, I need to confirm a few details. It’ll be fast, I promise. But before you answer those questions, I shared some suggestions below so you feel prepared!
Everyone is photogenic. “I’m so awkward in photos! I’m not photogenic!” These are words I hear from clients before their sessions — never after they see themselves in the photos. I’ll give gentle direction so you can just be in the moment. No awkward poses or weird faces, trust me.
This one is for parents: If you spend your session trying to get your kiddo to smile, all your photos will be of…well…you trying to get your kiddo to smile. The best photos are of your little one being themselves. I’m going to look real silly doing it, but even if I’m up against tears of resistance I will get your child to do something you’ll gush over later. Oh, and tantrums don’t scare me. I have a 4 year old.
If you’re not a fan of sitting in the grass, you’re welcome to bring a blanket. I recommend a simple, neutral style.
