you don't need to poseMy sessions are purposely (un)structured to allow for spontaneity. Part of what makes each session special are the moments that are unplanned — every session has them! Throughout our session I will give some mild direction while also allowing moments to happen organically.

don't worry about the kidsWe all know the face we get when we tell our little ones to smile. Is it a grimace? The hilarious, toothy, fake grin our kids give us when they’d rather be ruining their outfit. Surely it’s not just my own child, right? Right??
Let me worry about getting the smiles from your kids. I have tricks up my sleeve. Let them be their bouncy selves and you’ll have the big, genuine smile instead of the face. I want your memory of having these photos done to be of laughter, not of trying to wrangle your three year old.
Everyone looks good on cameraYou’re about to tell me, “I always look so awkward in pictures.” Not on my watch! I’m not going to let you look bad.
On a similar note, my editing style is part of my brand and craft. Every photo I deliver is thoughtfully chosen. I always edit to ensure correct technicalities, of course, but I don’t change any natural features unless specifically requested as a separate service.

While you're welcome to bring a blanket to sit on, or don a pumpkin head, I don't use props in my sessions. My photos keep the focus on my clients.

To keep my mini sessions lower cost, I choose locations that are free to everyone.

I do my best to send galleries within 2-3 weeks after our session. Depending on the month, my goal is to send out galleries with plenty of time to have them printed for holiday cards.

I love shooting proposals, which is why I have unique session packages dedicated to planning and capturing them. Please let me know if you want me to schedule one for you, but it's best not to rush one of the biggest moments of your life!

My weather app is always open so I can make a decision to reschedule if needed. I do shoot rain or shine, but if it rains too hard, we will rebook to a later date.

How many are we talking here? Families come in all sizes, so I offer some flexibility. If you plan to book for a large family, please let me know ahead of time so we can determine if a mini session is the best fit.
